Wood Library
The success of Wood Library's community outreach and services has caused it to outgrow its current facilities. A planning process begun in 2005, established three major goals for the Library to meet the needs of the Canandaigua community. Specifically, larger, distinctive spaces are required for Community Meeting and programming, as well as for the Children's Library and for Young Adults area. To accomplish this, a historically appropriate addition of 10,000 square feet is proposed. This two-story addition includes a new main entry, circulation desk, and meeting room for 100. Other program areas are expanded and improved in both the new construction and renovation of the existing building.
