Gates Volunteer Ambulance

Gates Volunteer Ambulance has been providing emergency services to the Town of Gates for over 40 years and currently responds to over 4,000 calls per year. The current main base is a converted private residence and no longer meets the needs of the community. In June 2009 HBT Architects was selected to help GVA design a new facility on an empty parcel. After extensive programming, input, and visioning, a design direction was established. GVA's desire to create a building which demonstrates the strength and permanence of their commitment as a public service while feeling inviting to visitors and the GVA membership guided the design process throughout.
